Our Vision
We advocate that there are many queer families in the community and that queer parents can make great parents.
We believe that queer families are an important part of the community and should be welcomed and embraced.
We will raise awareness of the many pathways to parenting available to those where the traditional pathway is unviable.
Our Community
If you are a gay dad or a gay man wanting to become a dad, then please join our Facebook community page.
The Facebook community page provides information on parenting and/or becoming a parent.
The community is a safe place connecting gay dads and their families with others through our community platform and social events.

Our Identity
Gay Dads WA is a Western Australia community group for gay dads and intended dads, allowing sharing of information on becoming and being a gay parent. The group regularly holds social groups and gets involved in activities to promote gay parenting and development of Australian legislation towards queer families.
Gay Dads WA has been featured in the media and has been proudly represented at the Perth PrideFEST march. Most importantly the community brings the children of gay parents together, sharing a common bond of love.
This website has been created, with the support of Pride WA, to raise awareness of queer families, to provide information for other people wanting to become parents, and also to give the opportunity for other gay dads to join our community group through Facebook.
We Advocate
Gay Dads WA has advocated for community acceptance of rainbow families for over 15 years. Many of our families have featured in press publications, news reals, radio stories and online media to share our parenting stories. On many occasions this has resulted in public backlash from extremists threatening both the parents and their families.
We have partnered with family lawyers, organisations and community groups to further advocate for change, raising awareness of our community group to the highest levels.
It is through these connections and partnerships that together we are able to influence the wider community and established relationships with key government members.
Subsequently we have worked with the WA Government to influence Western Australian law reform.
