Gay Dads WA understands the importance of community and the strength our community together creating positive change.
In this way, GDWA has joined several groups to support in those changes.
All Kids Are Equal
Thousands of Australian children born through surrogacy do not automatically have their parents legally recognised which leaves those children will less rights than other children. We believe that all children are equal and deserve to have their families recognised under Australian Law.
All Kids Are Equal is a coalition that includes Gay Dads WA, Rainbow Families, Surrogacy Australia, Equality Australia, plus others.
Rainbow Futures WA
Rainbow Futures WA is a consortium of WA-based LGBTQIA+ community organisations and individuals concerned with the long-term well-being of the community. It was born out of a series of community gatherings, bringing together members of the LGBTQIA+ groups and individuals around WA.
It is overseen by a Steering Group of volunteers that represent the consortium as a voice to WA Parliament.
