Our Village

They say that it takes a village to raise a child.

Raising children involves support from relatives, friends and members of the community.

Gay Dads WA have been fortunate to have found partners and friends in Australia that have supported us with our parenting journeys. We are pleased to share their details with you.

Regardless of gender or sexual orientation, if you are wanting to start a family and/or raising a child, then the information provided below could help you.

Rainbow Families

'Rainbow Families' is the leading voice for LGBTQ+ families in Australia. As a NFP they provide support, connect, celebrate, empower, and advocate for LGBTQ+ parents and their families at every stage of their lives. They serve as an important voice for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, diverse, and queer (LGBTQ+) parents and their children.

In 2024, they became a national organisation to support more rainbow families across the country. They create inclusive and safe services, spaces, programs, and resources for rainbow families to thrive. From antenatal classes to fun social events like Mardi Gras and Family Pride, Rainbow Families build friendships and strengthen social connections.
